Indecisive

Mobile Application

Indecisive is a group-based decision-making app designed to help couples or friends quickly agree on an activity in a specific location. Whether you’re planning a night out or just can’t decide what to eat, Indecisive simplifies the process with an engaging, swipe-based interface inspired by Tinder. Users create groups, select a location, filter activity types, and swipe through tailored options until there’s a match — making spontaneous plans easy, fun, and collaborative.

UX Planning & Functional Flow Design

The core user flow was built around group-based interaction and real-time consensus. I began by breaking down the app’s logic into sequential task flows: group creation, location input, activity type selection, swipe interaction, and match confirmation. Particular attention was given to states — such as when a group is active, in-progress, or closed after a match. I mapped these flows in FigJam to clarify user permissions and actions at each stage. The app also includes location permissions, state-based group history, and edge cases for incomplete groups, ensuring a robust experience even in casual use.

UI System & Interactive Prototyping

For the UI, I focused on creating a playful yet intuitive interface that echoes the simplicity of dating apps while introducing a collaborative group dynamic. I designed swipeable activity cards featuring imagery, venue names, ratings, addresses, contact details, and action buttons. Visual hierarchy was used to highlight key information, while micro-interactions made the swipe experience smooth and responsive. A clear design system was created in Figma, using components with auto-layout and constraints for responsiveness.
